The current updater bug has to do with changes in windows permissions that views our updater as a threat when it goes to update essential files in our software.
The update process is able to successfully download the update files but isn’t able to replace old files with new ones.
First you need to find the recently downloaded update files. Open the user director of the user that launches Showgrounds server. This path would look like this
Go to the address bar and add “\AppData”. You may get a warning this is a hidden folder and confirm you want to access it.
From there navigate to “Roaming\ShowGrounds\sg_updates”
Scroll to find the folder with the highest version number. Open this folder
Select all files EXCEPT “_MACOSX”
Right click and select “Copy”
From the desktop find the ShowGrounds Server short cut.
Right click and choose “Open file location”
Find the folder named “Server Database” and open it.
Click somewhere in the window NOT on a specific item, right click and choose “Paste”
Confirm warning to replace existing items.
